Emily & Tim // Mendakota Country Club Wedding

Emily & Tim are just the sweetest, happiest couple around who instantly make everyone around them smile. They met in college and quickly became friends (perhaps while fleeing from a college party). Emily went to study abroad in France for a semester and the two decided to not yet pursue anything past friendship, but when she returned, Tim was waiting at the airport with flowers. The rest was history and they became the most compatible couple around (better known to their friends as "Timily").

Tim proposed while the two were on a trip to San Francisco. On the second day of their trip, their group went to wine country in Sonoma where their first stop was St. Francis winery. While walking outside to the vineyard, Tim took Emily aside and hugged her tighter than he ever had before. He got all lovey dovey (slightly out of character for him) saying that he "wanted to come back to this winery with Emily someday". Emily, being confused replied "What do you mean? We just got here?"  Tim said that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her and got down on one knee to propose. In true form of the goofy guy Tim is, he opened the ring box upside down and the ring fell to the ground. Tim quickly picked it up and put it back in the box and Emily said "YES!" (Actually she said "Are you kidding me?!", but then said yes). The two spent the rest of their day celebrating at the best wineries and breweries in Sonoma.

Emily and Tim are both passionate, driven individuals who are so supportive of each other and most look forward to lifelong adventures together. Emily completed her first triathlon this year, and Tim likes trying new craft beers (you've got to check out the groomsmen all sporting MN breweries shirts!) They love biking together, country music, and going out for the best tacos in town.

Their wedding day was one for the books, that's for sure. The day started off with the girls getting ready in Emily and Tim's house, which was Emily's house growing up and has been in their family for 48 years, so special! Considering their proposal (and love for beer & wine) it was only fitting that wine and breweries were subtly intertwined into their day. Their wedding party had the best "grand entrance" dances I have ever seen, and as the sun went down, Emily and Tim sent off lanterns into the night sky. There were so many heartfelt moments of their day and it was so obvious the love Emily and Tim have for one anther, and how much they are adored by their family and friends.
